Gosh! xPopup realy rocks
Almost all I ever wanted, without daring to ask for it

So here is for the wishes:

- Sounds please

Ill explain: I would like a possibility to set a sound to be played when you open the popup. I found a way to "emulate" this feature on Popup, but it involves editing the personal settings. So no way that a themer could include it in the theme for distribution, unless having the user to edit its settings in the needed way (or using texedit).

So the feature implemented directly in the module, should solve the problem.
And btw, as we are to it, whi not having an other sound at "subfolder oppening"....

- CloseOnOut

Yeah! I know "what you mean". Well I would need the possibility to make a popup that, when the mouse leaves it (on "un-hover" ) it closes automaticly. (you get the point )

Well I can do it with Hotspots'n'scripts but only on fixed sise popups, and even then it kind of sux . And for the popups that can change sise, I know of no way...

This brings to the last:

- Exported evars, for position and sise of the popup at the moment it opens.

In order to know his position and sise, for using...somwere....
lol I forgot where I needed it...

Here is for the wishes for now...

Tell you what'd make me real happy I like to seperate my programs and controls, but want them all to hand as quick as possible. How about the ability to have two columns, left and right, with choice of opening the menu middle-aligned on the cursor so you can jump to either side quickly.

This is mostly to stop me having to argue with LsBox, mzscript and *desk(top) modules

The concept is similar to the windows XP start menu, but obviously with much more configuration for whats there. Free drive space, specific control panels, datetime, net transfer , e.t.c. Maybe I'm just ingrained to the Explorer way of life, but that seems to be quite useful for me

Yes! This is a great idea! Don't know how it'd be configured (hmm... perhaps two popup sections opening and docked as one?) but it would be cool.

I have an idea how one could do that... expand the !Popup [x] [y] command to allow for something like:
!Popup mousepositionx-50 mousepositiony
(is there a $Mouseposition$ var?)

Any comments on my idea two posts above (previous page) about HORIZONTAL layout direction?

Oh, and Tooltips would be very useful, especially in icon-only cases.

two sided popup sounds nice , however what would it look and behave like if you're too close to (desktop) borders?

I'm the anon above who suggested it, downloaded it with glee the next day (many many thanks Andymon, you're a star) and I can say it works very well as my regular popup. A dream to use, and it works well all over the screen. The only minor inconvenience is having to move the mouse all the way over to the left side when you click on a folder on the right hand column if it's close to the right hand screen. Other than that it works perfectly

Isn't it amazing how fast he implements things that one would thing would be hard?

You have outdone yourself, Andymon. In my opinion, StartPinned and Quicklaunch and Menubreak are all SO cool you should mention them in the documentation "why xPopup" overview! xPopup is now even MORE so not just a popup clone...

Also, THANK YOU for making the tooltips switch between shortcuts instantly. If only systray/vtray would do that!

Few minor suggestions: for shortcuts [.lnk] files perhaps have the tooltip just show the name instead of the entire path, would be nice. And hide the .lnk extension even if ShowExtensions is on, most filemanagers do it that way.
Also have a setting for how long it takes for the tooltip to show up on mouse hover (if possible; or is that a Windows setting?).

Possible minor bug: MinWidth - set it to very high (at least higher than it would 'naturally' grow to because of text length), and the colored entry doesn't resize with it... is this correct? [solidcolors and entrysolidcolors are different colors; tried this on normal popup with no columns or quicklaunch]
