xTextEdit-0.1 Release!!
Posted on Wednesday 08 September 2004 - 17:32:32 by GothsSecret
This is simply the same as normal TextEdit-2.52 or xLabel, but with 2 new bang's that should help to make use TextEdit more easy.

Examples for themer:

!xtextsaveevar @path\to\filename.rc@ @evar@

saves evar value from ram to file

!xtextsaveevar @path\to\filename.rc@ @evar@ @new value@

saves evar with set new value to file

debug and confirmation info also createable
(xTextEditConfirmation and xTextEditDebug)

Grab xTextEdit-0.1 here

PS: xTextEdit will be also in next xLabel version

Brilliant!

This covers two thirds of what I (and probably most people) use the TextEdit commands for anyway! So much simpler this way.

And some people that avoided TextEdit in the past because of its syntax may pick this one up.

I think ideas like this and ParseEvars should be implemented in the Litestep core -- but now it doesn't matter, I don't think I'll be going without xLabel for quite some time...

Besides the fact that anyone who read that request's first instinct is to just shout RTFM! and nothin else

sorry, but your request is a little unclear. moreover you can't expect people to help you if you just throw in one line... say what you want more specifically, and what you've achived/tried so far.
