bear with me if these q's have been addressed or if there are "known" ways to accomplish.
a. regarding xLabel
1- there is a bang !LabelShowHide (label-name) (seconds). can you add one that is the opposite (I.E. !LabelHideShow (label-name) (seconds) or is there a way to acheive the same thing?
b. regarding xpopup
1- in xlabel there is a command TransparencyMode "true", "fake" and ("off", "false", "none" ".none") that when is set to false will allow the system colors to show. can you add the same functionality to xpopup or again, is there another way to achieve the same thing?
2- in both popup and xpopup i have been unable to achieve this: removing the Title/Caption completely. i can remove the text, but not the bar/area/space. any suggestions?

2. Set the top and bottom popup borders to 0, tell it not to show caption text. Tada, no caption. You could get rid of the caption in popup2 visually, but not completely (3px seemed about minimum) [ Edited Thu Oct 14 2004, 11:06AM ]

No the opposite to !labelshowhide doesn't exist, but since i must release a quick bug fix release for 3.2, i'll
make this bang as a Toggle. So, if it's shown it'll hide for the time and vice versa.
xPopup: System Colors are used, if you only set xPopupUseSolidColors and xPopupUseEntrySolidColors, without any further settings concerning Images or SolidColors.

back to the color issue- when i use xPopupUseSolidColors and xPopupUseEntrySolidColors without anything else, it doesn't change my popups to use the systems colors. they stay the same (monochrome white background w/black icons and text). the only difference is that without the commands an active entry is "selected" with a pink bar and with the commands there is no bar highlighting the active entry.
in xLabel it was as simple as using the TransparencyMode false command, but xPopup and xTaskbar seem to work differently...

still scratching my head...
okay, well i had already looked at that but i am trying figure out how this helps me: "*NetLoadModule xPopup-0.9.8
xPopupcompatibilitymode
xPopupUseSolidColors
xPopupUseEntrySolidColors
xPopupEntryFontLeftBorder 20
xPopupTopBorder 20
"
1- i don't need compatibility mode as i am only usig xpopup with only xpopup commands
2- i have already specified my top, bottom, left, and right borders and those are setup how i want.
3- that brings me back to xPopupUseSolidColors and xPopupUseEntrySolidColors... exactly what i said two posts up is exactly what happens... without them everything is monochrome except the Active Entry which is pink and the icon colored normally. with them everything is still monochrome except now there is no Active Entry color (where it was pink before) and the icon is colored normally.

1. Uh, you DO, unless you want to change the normal OTS2 desktop click configuration and !popup. This isn't about evars, but the actual popups themselves, in name and definition.

ok, to all xLabel Desktop users, if you want to enable the desktop funtion, you need to set "xLabelUsexDesktop"! !! else it couldn't work. sorry for forgetting to mention it in the readme *g* next time it will be in there

>Andymon - woot!
>GothsSecret - If necessary, you could probably reduce the gaps between the center and the sides, for those with lower resolutions (not me, I'm at 1280x1024!).

hehe, now I like it too, I wassn't sure if it'll look good if we put a second menu right handed but now it's ok, so no need for a complete change anymore
