Hi there! I have a few simple questions about how xLabel shortcut2 emulation works.

First of all... In shortcut 2 the z order of shortcuts is determined by where the shortcut is in your .rc... How is it determined in xLabel? Is there a flag you have to set for each shortcut? When I use shortcut2 emulation on existing shortcuts in my theme the z order seems backwards...

Also how do you get a label to sit on top of shortcut in xlabel without having the label always on top?

I think may be stuck with with using shortcut2 cause nothing seems to work for me

nowadays it is possible to leave the shortcut2 emulation completly and create "label" based "shortcuts", there it is much more easier to z-order labels with the hooking feature

If it's not too much trouble would mind doing a simple example? What I'd like to see is how to set a shortcut that has a mouseover image and makes a sound when clicked and executes two bang commands.

erm well, it's like a normal label.... all possible settings can be found in the ReadMe

ah, btw: on NLM the readMe wouldn't be extracted, cause it's an chm file. extract it on your own. you'll find it \modules\archive\xLabel-x.x.x.zip .. in there is the readme

Ah hehe ok So in reality it's still a lot easier to use a shortcut than to use labels. Label's certainly let you do a lot more in terms of features but for simply adding little bmps shortcut is just easier

I guess... but xlabel kinda makes any shortcut module obsolete. Why not use one module instead of two when you can? Just makes sense.

Ok just figured it out... xLabel really does do the shortcut order completely backwards from shortcut2.

*Shortcut 1
*shortcut 2

In xLabel needs to be done like
*shortcut 2
*Shortcut 1

In other words it works!!

>Andymon - woot!
>GothsSecret - If necessary, you could probably reduce the gaps between the center and the sides, for those with lower resolutions (not me, I'm at 1280x1024!).

Just wanna tell:
HighColor(16bit) is coming for all xModules in the near future, finally.

hehe, now I like it too, I wassn't sure if it'll look good if we put a second menu right handed but now it's ok, so no need for a complete change anymore
