Thread: Alpha Transparent Image Support

Is there any reason why alpha transparency is not supported for xLabel background images?? It seems odd to me that xLabel now has the ability to add alpha transparent images with the GhostImage function, but they cannot be used as a background. I tried to get around this limitation by drawing an alpha trans image on a "magic pink" background. It didn't work. The image was not drawn at all. I tried again to draw it on a background that was partially "magic pink" and found that the image was only drawn where the background image was not magic pink.
I know that real alpha transparency will only work on 2000 and XP, but I'm sure those using both would be very happy. If it's possible to implement this feature, it would be great on xTaskbar too.
It seems strange to me that 95% of LS modules don't support alpha trans images.

Thanks a lot for your GREAT work guis , xmodules are transforming the Litestep shell in a much more fancy/varsatile thing.

>Andymon - woot!
>GothsSecret - If necessary, you could probably reduce the gaps between the center and the sides, for those with lower resolutions (not me, I'm at 1280x1024!).

Just wanna tell:
HighColor(16bit) is coming for all xModules in the near future, finally.

hehe, now I like it too, I wassn't sure if it'll look good if we put a second menu right handed but now it's ok, so no need for a complete change anymore
