Clickonic 1.1 Released
Posted on Thursday 31 July 2008 - 22:01:30 by Andymon
This is a pretty major update, so I'm not going to bother posting the entire changelog here. You'll have to check out the documentation for that , but here's a list of the major new features and changes
  • Support for the selection rectangle and system menu.
  • Clickonic will paint it's own window if xDesk, jDesk, or etc isn't loaded.
  • Clickonic shows infotips now.
  • Support for hiding My Documents, My Computer, My Network Places, The Recycle Bin, and Internet Explorer based on windows preferences.
  • Support for saving icon positions into a file instead of into the registry.
  • Repositioning bangs and support for "toggle" on all on/off bangs.
  • A bunch of bug fixes
You can get it here or through NetLoadModule.

SLI-ModuleManager v2.0 released!
Posted on Wednesday 30 July 2008 - 17:00:34 by Andymon
You want to know what modules are online available?
You don't know what's happening in your module folder?

-> SLI-ModuleManager will tell you "everything" you need to know!

Features:
Support for every online, local and archived module that is available for LiteStep!
Batch downloading (into module archive, custom folder or direct installation).
Uninstalling of modules.
Support of all current and future online module repositories.
Some infos about recommended modules for themeing (mostly my own )
Links to the basic themeing tutorials at xDocs.LS-Universe.info

Requirements:
(An LiteStep installation, which uses NetLoadModule (OTS2), standard since 2003)
An older LiteStep module, which will be downloaded, if you don't already have it.
Just allow the download via NetLoadModule after the first start of SLI-ModuleManager and it will never bother you again.

Installation:
Extract the content of the zip-archive in your LiteStep utilities folder. (But you can use any other folder too.)

What is missing?
Well, an explanation what the different modules actually will do!
You only have the name of the module to guess its purpose.

-> Download it and look in the ReadMe of the module, if you want more informations.

You can download SLI-ModuleManager v2.0 here

@Tobbe:
I would appreciate it, if you could add SLI-ModuleManager and the module settingsipc-1.0.0.1 in the next version of LOSI.

xVSClass-0.1 released!
Posted on Thursday 17 July 2008 - 19:43:09 by Andymon
What's this?
It's a simple helper module for the upcoming xPaintClass-1.0 Update 5 with VisualStyle support.

What can it do?
Not much
It exports the "minimum" or "optimum" size of a VisualStyle background (painted with xPC) into evars for later use.
It can show a messagebox with the requested values via a Bang command.

Important:
1. Make sure you load xVSClass BEFORE the module, which makes use of the exported Width and Height values!
2. Define the exported evars as dummy evars in your *.rc.

Example:
For a Label "TestLabel":
  1. TestLabelPaintingMode .visualstyle
  2. TestLabelStyleDefinition CLASS Part state
  3. TestLabelWidth 100
  4. TestLabelHeight 100
  5.
  6. *VisualStyleSizeExport TestLabelWidth TestLabelHeight optimum $TestLabelWidth$ $TestLabelHeight$ CLASS Part state
This would automatically create a Label with the best sized VisualStyle background in a 100x100 rectangle.
For some BUTTON values this would for instance create a 13x13 label!

That's all.

Download xVSClass-0.1 here
